Please note that the CDC website lists health conditions that may put people at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. If you have any concerns about your own risk factors, please seek advice from your Health Provider to see if massage and bodywork is indicated at this time.
Client Policies
- By scheduling an appointment, clients agree to follow all office Covid policies in accordance with the most up to date office policy, understanding that these policies may change based on current data.
- Please fill out a new updated intake form if this is your first visit or you have not updated your health history form in the past year.
- Please plan to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your appointment. If my office door is closed, please proceed straight and then to the right to wait in the shared waiting room. The bathroom is a little further down that hallway.
- Please do not enter the building if you are experiencing new respiratory or flu-like symptoms (not related to a known non-contagious health condition). Rescheduling in the event of illness is mandatory and there is never a reschedule fee or session charge for this!
- Please notify the massage therapist if you will be arriving with a family member, guardian, or personal care assistant. The common areas are shared with other offices so we ask that you be courteous of noise levels at all times.
Office Policies
- The massage room is cleaned between every client, as are touch screens, pens, and items used in session. The bathroom is cleaned after hours by a cleaning service, but I will monitor it throughout the day and clean if needed.
- All linens including pillow cases and blankets are completely changed for every client and stored in a closed bin.
- The massage table and pillows/bolsters used in session are all covered with medical grade, waterproof covers for ease of disinfection between every client.
- The massage room is cleaned and disinfected at the end of every work day and floors are vacuumed. We use EPA approved disinfectants and choose environmentally friendly options whenever possible.
- We are now located in a shared building with a shared waiting room and bathroom. Common areas are cleaned by a cleaning service and you may encounter other unmasked tenants/clients in the shared areas.
- Appointment times are still well spaced to allow time for careful cleaning and air turn over in the massage room.
- My office has a HEPA Air Filter running continuously so the air is filtered every six minutes and the filtration is rated for twice the actual square footage.
- Windows are open when outside temperatures allow and to bring fresh air in between sessions.
- I wear a well-fitted KN95 mask when with clients.
- Clients may choose to be unmasked or masked depending on your personal comfort level and risk factors.
- As always, I observe hand hygiene before and after every session as well as frequently throughout the day whenever needed.
- Prior to each work shift, I self screen to ensure no symptoms of respiratory or other contagious illness.
- I have taken the mandatory VOSHA training as required by the State of Vermont.
